Statement Of Faith

I believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. See: Deut. 6:4-5; Matt. 28:19-20; Mark 12:28-31; and I John 5:7.

The Holy Bible: I believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God. See John 1:1-14; and 2 Tim. 3:15-17.

Jesus Christ: I believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. See: Isa. 9:6-7; John 1:1-14; John 5:22-23; John 8:54-58; John 10:30; Isa. 7:14; Matt. 1:18-23; Heb. 12:2; 1 Peter 1:21; Rev. 1:18; 2 Tim. 4:1; and Luke 21:27.

Man, his fall and redemption. I believe that Adam and Eve were created good and upright for God said, “Let Us make man in our image, after our likeness.” But, by voluntary transgression, they fell and the sin nature has been passed to all mankind. Our only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ the Son of God. See: Gen. 1:26-31; Gen. 3:1-7; and Rom. 5:12-21.

Salvation by grace: Salvation is a free gift from God, given to all who believe in His Son Jesus, the Christ, and accept Him as the Lord of their life. See: John 3:16-19; John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Rom. 8:31-35; Rom. 10:9-1; Eph. 2:4-9; 1 John 5:9-12; Rom. 5:6-10; and 1 Thes. 5:9-10.

Holy Spirit: I believe that everyone who believes on and accepts Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior receives the Holy Spirit so that they are “born-again” into spiritual life. See: Rom. 8:10-16; Acts 1:8-11; John 3:3-8; and Rom. 8:10-11.
The Church: I believe the church consists of those persons who have accepted Jesus Christ as fully God, Creator, Lord, Savior, and heavenly Bridegroom and therefore have received the Holy Spirit. See: Eph. 1:22-23; Eph. 2:22; Heb. 12:23; Rom. 12:4; 1 Cor. 6:19-20; 1 Cor. 12:12-14; 1 Cor. 12:27; and Col. 1:17-18.

Baptism in water: I believe that all believers should receive water baptism, as a demonstration of our faith, and in obedience to the commandment of our Lord. Water baptism is an outward symbol of spiritual identification with His death, burial, and resurrection. See: Matt. 28:18-20; Acts 10:47; and Rom. 6:4.

The Lord’s Supper: Before His crucifixion and resurrection, the Lord partook of the Passover feast with His disciples and commanded us to remember Him when we observed this feast. He instructed us that the true meaning of the Passover feast was in Him. He is the Passover Lamb of God and the bread and wine represents His body that is broken and poured out so that all who call upon His name are saved. See: Ex. 12:27; Matt. 26:2; Luke 22:14-20; and 1 Cor. 5:7.

Holiness: The scriptures teach a life of holiness without which no man shall see the Lord. By the power of the Holy Spirit we are able to obey the command, “Be holy, for I am holy.” Believers should walk in obedience to God’s Holy Spirit. See Ex. 3:5-6; Lev. 11:44-45; Ps. 99:9; Isa. 6:3; Hab. 1:12; Rom. 12:1; Eph. 1:4; Eph. 5:27; and 1Peter 1:15.

Divine healing: I believe in divine healing that is provided for us in the atonement, and is the privilege of all believers See: Isa. 53:4-5; Matt. 8:16-17; and Matt. 15:26-28.

The Second Coming of Jesus Christ: I believe in the resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation, together with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord, is the imminent and blessed hope of the Church. See: Matt. 24:1-40; John 14:1-3; Acts 1:9-11; I Cor. 15:20-24; I Thes. 4:15-17; 2 Thes. 2:1; Titus 2:11-13; and 1 Cor. 15:51.

The millennial reign of Jesus: I believe that Jesus Christ will return to earth with His saints as His side and that He will reign over the earth for a thousand years. See: Rev. 19:11-16; and Rev. 20:1-7.

The lake of fire: I believe according to Scripture, that the devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophet, and whoever not found written in the Book of Life, shall be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake, which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. See: Rev. 19:20; and Rev. 20:10-15.

The new heavens and the new earth: I believe in the promise of Jesus that we are to look for a new heaven and a new earth. See: 2 Peter 3:1; Rev. 21; Rev. 22; Isa. 65:17; and Isa. 66:22.
